Meridies

For parents and guardians

Your student's consultant would like to use Meridies

Consultants ask families before adding a student to a new platform. Here is what Meridies does for your student, what its AI can and cannot do, and who sees your family's information, so you can decide with the facts in front of you.

Text · the day before

“Final read-through of your personal statement” is due tomorrow, Oct 30.

The short version

Four things to know

  1. 1

    One place for every deadline

Tasks, application dates and meetings with the consultant sit on one dashboard and one calendar, with a text or email the day before something is due.

  2. 2

    The consultant stays in charge

Your student's consultant assigns the work and makes every call. AxIS, the assistant inside Meridies, researches and checks, then hands its findings to the consultant.

  3. 3

    Essays stay your student's

AxIS does not draft or rewrite essays. Its feedback goes to the consultant as short notes, and your student writes every sentence.

  4. 4

    Data is never sold

Meridies does not sell personal information. No Social Security number is ever asked for, and your student can download or delete their account from Settings.

What your student gets

Their own workspace, built around their deadlines

These are screens from the student view, with a sample student. Your student signs in to the same pages their consultant works from, so a date the consultant moves is already moved when your student looks.

Opens on what is next

The first thing your student sees is the next application deadline, then four doors into their own college list, application, financial aid and messages from the consultant.

  • The same record the consultant works from, so nothing is copied between apps
  • Works in any web browser; there is nothing to install

One task, start to finish

How an assignment moves through Meridies

Follow one ordinary request, a transcript upload, from the consultant's desk to done. Select a step to see what each person sees.

New task for Sophia Martinez

Upload your 2025-26 transcript

  • Request it from the school officeOct 11
  • Upload the PDFOct 14
Assigned by Ms. Chen

The consultant writes the task, breaks it into steps and dates each one. A task can be as small as “upload your transcript” or as large as a supplement essay.

Essays and AI

The essay stays your student's, every word of it

Admissions readers want to hear your student. So AxIS reads a draft only when the consultant asks, and answers the consultant in short notes. It has no button that writes, rewrites or finishes a sentence, and the product checks its answers for prose before the consultant sees them.

AxIS may

  • Point out a grammar or spelling slip
  • Notice an essay that contradicts the activities list
  • Notice two essays telling the same story

AxIS will not

  • Draft an essay or a paragraph
  • Suggest sentences to paste in
  • Speak to your student about their essay
Personal statement · draft 3612 / 650 words

The first time I took apart my grandmother's radio, I was nine and their1 was no going back. I wanted to know where the voices came from.

Years later, at the robotics bench, I learned that curiosity is only half of it. The other half is patience I didn't have when I quit the team sophomore year2.

Last spring, our team rebuilt a sorting arm from salvaged parts…

Notes to the consultant

1 · Grammar

“their” should be “there”.

2 · Consistency

Activities list shows four years of robotics. Essay says the student quit in grade 10.

Your student hears about these from their consultant, in their consultant's words.

Your family's data

Who sees what

Your student's consultant controls the record, and Meridies handles it on their instructions. Pick a person to see their column, or a row to read the detail.

In detail

Tasks, deadlines and progress

You hear about tasks and deadlines when the consultant sends an update by email or text. AxIS reads task titles and progress when the consultant asks it about your student.

  • Can see
  • Some of it
  • Cannot see

When AxIS searches the web, your student stays anonymous

To find colleges and summer programs, AxIS sends a short brief to its web search. Names, email addresses and the high school are stripped first, and a search that would include them is thrown away.

Hi Rosa, quick update on Sophia: her Stanford supplement is drafted and she's on track for the Nov 1 deadline. Next up is the MIT community essay.

What you will hear

Updates from the consultant, by text or email

Most weeks you hear how things are going. If your student falls behind, you hear early enough to help, from the person who knows your student.

Written by the consultant
Updates come from your student's consultant, sent from your student's page in Meridies. An automatic alert about overdue work goes out only if the consultant has switched those on.
Quiet hours, every time
Nothing arrives overnight. A message written late waits for the morning.
No flood of alerts
Alerts about overdue work are rate-limited per student, so one slipped deadline never becomes a string of texts.
No inbox to check
Everything reaches you by email or text. There is no parent app or login to remember.

Questions

What parents ask us most

Something missing? Write to team@meridiesai.com and a person on the team will answer.

Do we pay anything?

No. Meridies is licensed by your consultant's practice. Families are never billed by Meridies.

Does the AI write my student's essays?

No. AxIS cannot draft, rewrite or suggest replacement sentences for an essay. When a consultant asks for a review, AxIS returns short notes to the consultant, such as a grammar slip or an idea that contradicts another part of the application. Your student writes every word.

Is my student's data sold or shared with advertisers?

No. Meridies does not sell personal information and has no advertising. Data is shared only with the service providers needed to run the product, such as hosting.

Is my student's work used to train AI?

Meridies does not train AI models on student work. The AI inside Meridies comes from Anthropic and is used only to answer the consultant's requests.

Can I log in and see everything?

There is no parent login today. The consultant sends you updates by email or text from your student's page, and your student can show you their own dashboard at any time.

Can we delete the account later?

Yes. Your student can download a copy of their data or delete their account from Settings. Consultants can also export a student's record on request.

What does my student need to install?

Nothing. Meridies runs in any web browser on a laptop, tablet or phone. Your student joins from an email invitation sent by their consultant.

Who decides what the AI can read?

Your student's consultant and their practice. They can keep any single document out of AI, or switch off AI document reading for the whole practice. Some things are never available to it, including contact details, birthdays, financial aid details and the consultant's private notes.

Before you say yes
